What is XVS marker reader System?

XVS Mark Reader (OPOS) System is a powerful image recognition tool which works together with Eding CNC to allow perfect cutting of any printed job.  

XVS works by using the camera attachment of your CNC machine to recognize special Marks on your drawings. The cutting job is then automatically aligned using those Marks. 

To use XVS you need the following: 

- CNC machine controlled by Eding CNC

- a IP camera (RTSP protocol) attachment for the CNC machine

- XVS software

It's a system for a CNC router composed by a controller, a oscillating tangential knife head and/or a 45 degree cutting/creasing head, with a USB camera and a software of marker recognition.  Up to 4 heads in a single machine. 

It's the perfect complement to a flatbed printer or a print laminator and do more than a flatbed cutter for a fraction of the price.

What can XVS marker reader System do?

It expands possibilities of a CNC router to cut a wide variety of materials like foam board, cardboard or similar.

Improves the workflow because the machine operator doesn’t need to align exactly the material in the bed of the router.

First the operator put the material on the bed in some weird rotation, then the system reads the marks and correct the rotation of the code to cut on the line.

When the print is laminated normally it expands in one or more axis distorting the original dimension of the print. Our system corrects that distortion and cut on the line too, making this work easy and clean to the user. 

With the 45 degree tool the user can do carboard mobiliary, boxes, etc… 

Our system can recognize 2 types of trajectories simpleGo and goAndBack and modifies the gcode to make this job easier to the user. This job has never been easier. 

A CNC router with the XVS marker reader system, can also be used to mill materials printed with a flatbed, improving your machines in the most suitable and versatile machinery to meet user printing needs.

The system integrates plugins for the most used vectorial programs, that way the user can add the marks easely without changing his workflow.
